Watch Zoodoku in action

It's a calm brain teaser for short breaks: the rules take a minute to learn, and the boards grow from small 4×4 grids to tricky 10×10 ones.

How to play

  • The board is a grid split into colorful enclosures.
  • Each enclosure holds exactly one animal.
  • Each row and each column holds exactly one animal.
  • Animals can't touch each other, not even diagonally.
  • Tap a square once to mark it as empty. Tap it twice to place an animal.

Pure logic, no guessing

Every board is checked by a solver before it reaches you. It has exactly one solution, and you can always work out the next move by reasoning. You'll never be stuck on a puzzle that only works by luck.

Puzzles that grow with you

Every level is rated easy, medium, hard or expert, based on the deduction techniques it needs. You start with simple steps, like a row with only one open square left. Later you learn to see how enclosures, rows and columns limit each other. Expert boards ask you to think a few moves ahead. The difficulty rises gently, with an easier board now and then to catch your breath.

Hints that teach

Stuck? Ask for a hint. Zoodoku doesn't just point at a square. It explains why the move is right, so you get better with every puzzle.

Daily puzzle

A new daily puzzle waits for you every day. Your best score of the day is saved, and your daily streak rewards you with gifts for coming back.

Duet mode

Duet is a harder version of the puzzle: every row, column and enclosure holds two animals instead of one. It unlocks after level 50 and starts with a short tutorial. Duet has its own levels and its own daily duet. It's still pure logic: every Duet board has exactly one solution.

Features

  • 150+ Classic levels, from 4×4 starters to 10×10 boards
  • A daily puzzle and a daily duet every day, with your best score saved
  • A daily streak with gifts

  • Helpers: the meerkat rules out a square, and another helper places an animal in the right spot

  • Kapi the capybara, the zoo director, guides you through the tutorial
  • Calm music, sound effects and gentle vibration, each of them can be turned off

Questions and answers

What kind of game is Zoodoku?

Zoodoku is a grid logic puzzle. You place animals so that each enclosure, row and column has one, and no animals touch.

Is Zoodoku like sudoku?

Think of it as a sudoku alternative without numbers. If you enjoy sudoku or other grid puzzles, Zoodoku will feel familiar, but there's no math: you place animals and read the shapes of the enclosures.

Do I ever have to guess in Zoodoku?

No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved by logic alone.

What is Duet mode?

A harder mode with two animals in every row, column and enclosure. It unlocks after level 50.

How is Zoodoku different from other animal puzzle games?

It has a Duet mode with two animals in every row, column and enclosure. Hints explain why a move is right instead of just showing it. Every board has exactly one solution and never needs a guess. A wrong animal costs one of three hearts, but a note never does. And there's a daily puzzle and a daily duet every day.

Do I need an account to play Zoodoku?
